Originally rated September 2006. This 8% malt liquor pours a golden colour with a nice creamy white head. Carbonation is pretty active, retention is decent and lacing is full creamy all around. The nose is not offensive, with some corn and a bit of alcohol. Lots of corn is present too in the taste. Good bitterness at the start with a slight burn and a mild aftertaste that fades away fast enough. After a glass or so, some sweetness shows up. Gets the job done... and I can finish this one (compared to their 10% version - which was a drainpour).

Looks like any other pale lager out there on the planet, as they always manage to do with these macro-brews. Aroma is creaminess and corn with a hint of unwashed armpit. Flavour is heavy citrus syrup with a cardboard finish; the mouthfeel, though, is in fact more refreshing than I expected for this kind of beer. It’s bad, but not awful.

Gold with white head.Sweet with an immense dirty line type taste which overshadows even the alcohol

Golden colour. Neutral character. OK, even using the word character for a beer like this is unnecessary. Hint of bread and more than a hint of peppery alcohol. Better than it deserves to be, but not good.
