On tap. Pours a clear brown-amber with a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Mild, sweet aroma of caramel malt, brown sugar and leafy hops. Sweet flavour of bready malt, caramel, sour dark fruit and a hint of nuts with a dry, bitter hop finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Ok.

Poured from 341mL bottle. Clear copper colour with minimal off-white head. Some toasted caramel malt on the nose. Mild malt, nut and bread taste. Light body.

Decent clear ruby-amber body with an okay level of white head on top. Faint aroma of malts, but only faint. Decent drinkable malt taste, slightly dry and bready finish. Drinkable but unremarkable.

2012-01-16, draught at Memphis Blues on W Broadway, Vancouver, 6-4-7-3-13=33
Amber color. An honest Pale Ale, with reasonably good malt flavor, some caramel, light residual sweetness, and good hopping, even with some aromatic component. Refreshing (although I preferred having the IP’eh at this restaurant).
2010-03-16, draught at Amberjack Tap House, Surrey, BC, 5-4-5-2-10=26
Dark amber color; small creamy head. Dusty aroma, light roasted malt, very light cheese. Dry mouthfeel, dry caramel flavor, reasonably strong bitterness. Easy.

A light brown copper ale with a thin moka head. A very nutty malt aroma with touches of milk chocolate. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with torrefied nuts notes, actually not bad, veering on nut brown ale. Medium bodied. 12 on. can from Piscator. Merci Kris!

Sampled at the 2009 Canada's Cup of Beer at UBC. Pours a dark amber. Mouthful is quite watery and a bland malt flavour. Barely drinkable.

Picked this on at a draft in Vancouver. It pours a rather dark copper colour, without too much in the way of head. Smells like vanilla. Tastes are of vanilla and some hops are definitely creeping about there as well. Tastes all creamy, but it is still a little on the watery side and finishes off with a funny finish.

Golden-brown colour. Malty, slightly crackerlike aroma. Nutty flavour, slightly accented to sweet, with whole grain bread notes. Finish is slightly moreish with a light toffee note. The body is light, as expected for this BC riff on dark mild.

Found this rating from a couple of years back in an old book. Thought I would post it. Brown with large off white head.Choc malt nose and sweet creamy malt taste. No noticeable hops.
