Smoke is subtle. Pretty good otherwise.

650mL bottle, pours a clear chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out campfire smoke, toasted nuts, bready malt and some dry caramel. Flavour is nice and malty, with lots of caramel malt, bready notes, and rounded out with the campfire smoke. The sweetness is apparent upfront, but is nicely reined in by the smoke. Bold and well-balanced. Very good.

Deep copper with a decent white head. Smoked malts and dark toffee. Smoked malts, chocolate and a nice finish. Solid.

Dark amber colour, hazy, with nice perlage and compact head. Nice smoke aroma, I wonder if this Weyermann beech smoked malt, schinken, crusty country bread. Lean mouthfeel, but with good body strength, there is mild sweetness, good chewy smoked malt, balanced smoke with light malt acidity. If anything, it's maybe a bit weak in the finish.
Excellent.

Bottle from the brewery. Golden-amber colour. Smoky. Has a fairly rich malt profile, a lot of pale malt, and rich beech smoke. Long finish, though the malts get a bit sticky here, and the alcohol kick seems a bit aggressive for a 7.1% bock. It's good, though.
