Bottle from the Co-Op. Clear amber body with a thin white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of earth and dried orange peel. Flavour of dried leaves and a hint of aniseed. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A reasonable, old school beer.

Bottle from Cooperative Supermarket, Hebden Bridge. Dark amber with a small head. Fuller tasting hoppy ale, but with a very nice, light, easy to drink texture. There's a good pale ale styling to the beer.

Bottle from the Coop in Newbiggin by the sea. Appearance - deep amber to brown. Decent head. Nose - plenty of sweet malt. A touch of orange. Taste - more sweet malt, cake mixture. Dry orange. Palate - light bodied, creamy and smooth. Overall - swee, easy and commercial in style. Not a golden ale by any stretch mind!

(Bottle) Pours clear amber brown with big white head. Nice aroma - gentle floral and fruity. Medium body, well carbonated. Nice toffee malt backbone with fruity hop notes at the start, and pleasant hop bitterness at the end. Very drinkable.

21st July 2017: random tasting session with myself at home, Bertie the dog looks on. 330ml bottle: BBE Feb 2018, obtained from a local Co-Op store. Poured slowly into a Westmalle Trappist chalice, why not? Clear, bright and clean looking, nice amber/bronze body, the head a quickly fading off-white affair ( what a pity). Considering the hop content list this isn’t as citrusy as I expected in the aroma or flavour (good). Spicey hop nose with some red fruitiness, taste similar, semi-bitter with an underlying malty base. One of the best beers I have had from Robinson’s so far.

Bottle from the Co op and drunk on a train. Clear deep orange colour lasting beige head. Some hop on this some Robinsons house yeast some decent biscuit malt flavour. More a premium bitter than anything else but an ok one. Biscuit malt reminds me of ginger nuts with less ginger. ok.

Bottle from Co-Op. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, grassy hop citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp, fresh fruity, floral, slightly metallic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
