Bottle from a shop in Allgäu. Clear dark brown, almost zero head. Thin nose, brown sugar and some warming alcohol hints. The flavor is a bit bigger than the nose, definitely sweet and a bit orangey, though oxidized. Very little hop bitterness, and a bit too flat carbonation-wise. I expected more wintery warming and a bigger complex flavor from Grand Marnier Fass gereift.

Bottle that I picked up Bieraterie, Partenkirchen, Bayern back in the summer. Consumed at home Saturday 30th October 2021 listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6 Music. Pours dark brown with a head that didn't last long, so cannot recall much about that aspect. Nice warming moutheel, the barrel ageing has done a nice job, this is really good, a little chocolate, praline, this is good.

Deep and grainy beginning. The wood is there, the round and deep malty rich Bock as well. Grand Manier in the back with hints of woody oranges. Very nice and intense, smooth mild malts and woody fruity spirit. Nice.

Cremig malziger Beginn, moderat herb, alkoholisch, etwas Schokolade. Eher trocken, die Malzigkeit steigt an, langer schokoladiger Nachhall. 10/11/10/11/12/11

07-06-20 // 330ml bottle. Purchased at Fein & Herb. A rich malty Bock. Sweet obviously but in a balanced way. The grand marnier barrel is quite strong and paired with the sweet dark malts it remebers a bit to cola-cognac with its vanilla touch. Very interesting.
