Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is caramel malt, toffee, roast, butterscotch, burnt sugar, chocolate, notes of ripe fruits candy sugar, some alcohol. Sweet flavour with a moderate but noticeable bitterness. Body is full, bit sticky texture. Such a lavish Barley Wine, great!

Bottle from MikkellerWebShop. Pours dark reddish brown with tiny light brown head. Aroma is malt, syrup, caramel, toffee, prune, figs and apples. Taste is medium to very sweet, light to medium bitter, light acidic and faint salty. Body is creamy with light carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of port wine, caramel, malt, bread, prunes and apples.

Aus der Flasche (2019) im 2021-03 getrunken. Diese malzige, kräftige Barley Wine kommt klar im Europäischen Stil mit einen schöne Süße daher. Einfach toll!

ABV: 13.0%. Clear dark brown colour with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, dried fruit, sweet malt, dark fruit, plum, date, figs, oak, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, oak, dreid fruit, figs, plum, sweet malt, alcohol. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20201118]

Bottle from Best of Beers. Hazy very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and dark sugar. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with lots of warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 020920

Clear reddish amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth light palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light but marvellously rich malts. Good creamy caramel, but not over sweet, indeed, lightly salted. Slightly woody but soft and rich dried fruits, some ripe fruits, all marvellously bourbon barrel enhanced. A little spice on the soft finish. Nice one, plenty going on but very drinkable.
