A very dark brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of dark caramelized malt, dark fruits, blueberries. Taste of blueberries, strong dark malt, caramel. Interesting.

30/6/2024. Can from Amsterdam courtesy of Mrs.B. Pours clear dark chestnut brown with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is dried fruits, malt, brown bread, nut, toffee, chocolate, fruit cake, light smoked cheese. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium to full body, smooth and sticky, soft carbonation. Enjoyed this.

Bouteille 33cl partagée avec mon frère et ses collègues au magasin Henri Willig de Berlin. BB 11/2024.
Couleur brune foncée, col fin crémeux blanc-cassé.
Arôme est sur une base maltée - caramel, léger grillé, sucre résiduel, fruits noirs.
Palais est sur un caractère malté oscillant sur le léger bsicutié, caramel avec qcq fruits noirs/secs en surplus. Malheureusement ne semble jamais passer la bar d'une quad peu rafinnée par rapport aux concurrentes belges. Effervescence moyenne/haute avec une sucrosité trop avenante.

Bottle 33 cl. Chestnut color, slightly hazy, yellow foam. Aroma: wine, caramel, a little chocolate, esters, dried fruits and dried berries, pies. Moderately sweet taste, caramel, wine, dried fruits, a little salt, smoked cheese, slightly sour, original, however.

33cl bottle from Henri Willig Kaas B.V. cheese shop in Zaandam, Nethelands. F: medium, tanned, good retention. C: dark brown to black. A: malty, caramel, bready, herbal, spicy, mellow fruity, toffee touch. T: full malty base, bready, caramel, toffee touch, mellow fruity, dark fruits touch, decent bitterness, soft to medium carbonation, bit more on the sweet herbal side, perhaps with some cheese it could be more delicious, still enjoyed.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 05/05/22. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a good sized lasting beige head. Nose is dusty fruits, dark malts, nutty, brown bread, spice. Taste comprises sticky fruits, toffee, herb, light spice, touch of liquorice, fruit cake, alcohol. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising level of booze. Ok sipper if a touch on the basic side.
