Cloudy, blackish color and a small tan head. Nice nise of dark coffee and milk chocolate, burnt caramel. Taste start with harsh bitter-coffe flavors, followed by smooth vanilla and caramel. Faint dried fruits. Nice work, guys!

Bottle at 100 piv. Intense coffee presence, imparting both character, and bitterness with a bit of astringency. Overall keeping mostly bitter, high bitterness, moderate sweetness, light roast astringency. Character coffeeish, forrest berries, light caramel toffeeish maltiness. Light alcohol warmth. Quite good, though not the smoothest, assertively strong.

Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Smooth but fairly dry and slightly thin palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Obvious coffee, slightly earthy, from the sweets, a little caramel as well but 2nd fiddle to the coffee. Mild aniseed - licorice. Some ripe fruits delivered from the ripe bourbon barrel emerges at the end. A nice combo that goes well, just wish it was a tad less dry.

Bottle at home from Trembling Madness. Pours jet black with thin dirty tan head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, fudge, coconut and some bourbon booziness and a medicinal vibe as it warms. Taste is chocolate, fudge, caramel and a tangy malted milk biscuit. Lovely rich and smooth but not sure I like the tangy flavour.

Bottle. Almost black. Haagse hopjes dominating the aroma. Coffee, vanilla. Malty sweet flavor with lots of caramel and fresh grinded coffee. Vanilla and bourbon hidden behind these flavors

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of sweet hopjesvla, chocolate, caramel fudge, bourbon vanilla, cherry and chipolata. Taste has rich hopjesvla, chocolate, mocha coffee, caramel fudge, cherry, bourbon vanilla, caramelised malt, chipolata and a little coconut. Long rich complex finish. Really delicious, this is how pastry stout should be.
