THT Time! Unclear brown, little offwhite head. Sweet, brown malt, dates, port, boozy, light tartness cutting through rich sweetness. Dark honey, grapes. Full body, soft carbonation.

0.33 l bottle from 'Drinks & Gifts', 2020 vintage, cellared for over a year. Almost clear, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of molasses, lots of raisins, prunes, dark cherry, port, caramel, some marzipan and traces of licorice root. Rather sweet, malty, gently fruity and a little spicy taste of molasses, port, dark cherry, elderberry, prunes, caramel, some licorice root and a touch of marzipan, followed by a long, slightly bitter, a little spicy, rather boozy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Complex, moreish brew, unfortunately rather boozy and a little thin. Not flawless but a nice sipper nevertheless.

Bottle. Color: Very dark copper, beige head. Aroma: Sweet, port, fruity sweet red grapes, vinuous. Taste: Overwhelming sweet Port notes, some vanilla. Where is the base beer? Only some malt and some spices. Sweet vinuous notes, some wood. Light bitterness. Bit vinuous. Some tannins. Medium sweetness. Sticky. A bit disappointing, quite unbalanced and lacking complexity compared with Gulpener Gulle Tinus. I had higher expectations. Mwah.

2020 bottle. Dark brown color. Vinous aroma with soft roast, caramel and vanilla. Thinnish. Malty sweet caramelly flavor with vanilla, roast and lots of porto. Not optimally balanced but quite tasty.
