Moderately strong German-style bock using 80% smoked malt. Strong notes of campfire and smoke, backed by rounded maltiness and a hint of sweet.

LSAT Freedom Trip #131. Keg at the brewpub. Clear pale amber, thin foamy white head, decent retention. Aroma of strong smoke, wood, caramel. The taste is toasted malt, caramel, smoke and citrus. Medium bodied, well balanced.

Tap at the brewery. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is big rich smoke, slightly sweet, honey and bacon frazzles. The taste is bitter - sweet, massive smoke, rich, Russian Campire tea, toasty grain and some alcohol boost with a lingering smoked finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Very big on the smoked front, perhaps overly so....
