440ml can from the Scotmid. Pours clear golden, thin white head, tight bubbles. Surprisingly attractive. Aromas of cooking apples, sulphur. Taste is chalky, more cooked apples. Astringent finish. Looks good, goes downhill from there.

Can from a mate. Thanks, I think. Pours slightly bright yellow orange. Lots of bubbles. Classy. Aroma is a bit sickly, but there are apples in there. Taste is too sweet, a bit of fruit tang by mostly artificially sweet. Intensely carbonated palette. Well, it is what it is. The best of a fairly sorry bunch (i.e. canned macro ciders).

Can from Seoul Plaza. Aroma very simple, apples, red, slightly vinegary and/or solventy. Clear deep golden colour. Taste is about the same, simple, straight-forward. Very average and boring. Too high ABV to serve as a session drink.

Can from supermarket. Orange colour, medium carbonation. Aroma of tart apples with hints of sweetness. Rather dry finish. Easy drinkable cider. Not bad.

500ml can 6% abv. Golden colour, foam white head that diminishes to a thin layer and aroma of sweetish apple. Taste is tart apple with a dry pithy note. Light bodied, medium carbonation, watery at the finish. OK.

Golden colour with a bubbly head. Apple aroma. Medium body. Dry and lots of apple flavour. A bit more sour than other ciders.

Amber, clear, white fizzy thin head dissipates to thin rim
Aroma of sweet apple diluted concentrate, some crushed apple cores - slight woody nose, papery note, dab of alcohol, rather light
Taste of sweet cider apple (bit like diluted concentrate), then dry on the palate, some sourness, not a lot going on, simple flavour, reasonable for a macro produced cider
Palate - Medium carb, thin body. Finish is particulary dry, hint of apple
Overall - As a mass produced canned English cider it’s probably the best of the bunch. It’s drinkable, with more apple flavour and less of the artifical junk that’s in ciders such as Strongbow. It is too thin though and still has an artificial edge
