LSAT Freedom Trip #138. Keg at the brewpub. Dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, dark fruits, tobacco. The taste is roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, dark fruits. Medium bodied, lingering tartness, chewy.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
On tap at the brewery. It pours jet black with a decent beige head. The nose is rich roast, umami, earthy roast, some milk chocolate and liquorice. The taste is crisp, bitter, rich roast, earth, liquorice, umami and some alcohol boost with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent enough.
