This might be the perfect session beer. It’s got body, there’s some hoppy citrus in the aroma and taste, nice aftertaste. Many beers that advertise themselves as session beers are thin, weakly things. This isn’t. Fruity, hearty, sessionable. Yes.

Draft at Euston Tap. Luscious, creamy pour. Hazy ambrr with a pillow of head w, leaving a thick curtain on the glass. Soft gentle malty aroma, tastes also favor the malts, lovingly unfolding on the tongue. Just a beauty to look at, and even better to drink.

Keg from notes. Nose is malt, yeast, floral. Taste follows with malt, lots of yeast, toffee, light modern hop note with a white grape / citrus feel. Decent bitter which marries old and new much better than most.

Cask at Andrew Usher’s. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma of wood and autumn leaves. Flavour of roasted malt, caramel and earth. Thin body with a light, oily mouthfeel. Simple and easy drinking.

Cask at the Euston tap. A mostly clear amber orange coloured pour with a lasting speckled beige head. Aroma holds some nice jammy fruits, nutty malts with a hint of sweet toffee, some dried apple. Flavour is composed of semi sweet brown bready malts, nutty, dried pear, just a hint of new world hops. Maybe a bramling cross hop or similar. Palate is soft and pillowy on the tongue, good cask condition, semi sweet. Nice rounded finish. A very well put together beer. Could drink several pints with ease.

Cask. Shakespeares, Sheffield. As Cloudwater Winter Range - Bitter. Hazy, light brown. Thick, bubbly, off white head. Certainly doesn’t smell like a traditional bitter. This has lemon and grapefruit. Some peachy notes. Lots of new world hoppage. Taste is light, juicy bitter. Crisp palate. Light, fruity bitter finish. Like a bitter, minus the farty malts. Good.
