Bottle shared by Jay at Clocking New Year. Pours reddish brown with brown head. Nose and taste of soy, molasses, caramel syrup, caramelized brown sugar, rum cake and sweet caramel sauce. Too sweet. Medium body.

Bomber from Kybecca Downtown, Fredericksburg, VA. Pours a clear copper color with a thin fizzy tan head. Fair head retention. Big wood aroma with notes of caramel, raisin, soy, vanilla, mild hops. The taste is caramel, wood, apples, vanilla, toast, raisin, mild hops. Medium bodied. Sadly this went straight from un-drinkably sweet to oxidized.

22oz bomber at DC tasting courtesy of argoO! Sticky and sweet. Orange-tan. Sugary and sweet as per ST. Big time oaky tones. Quite smooth and drinkable, especially for the ABV. Tons of oak, without any fuesal alcohol burn. Drinkable, flavorful, asskicker. Lots of residual sugar, but still world class.

Bright clear red - amber beer. Tidy cream coloured head. An attractive beer! Mild vanilla wood nose. Slightly soft palate. Sweetish dried fruits but with cherry and strawberry. Mild licorice spice. All of this encased in a mild vanilla oak backdrop. Finishes semi dry. Best of the Cuvee series and another cracker from Southern Tier.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear copper with a small white head that quickly dimninishes to nothing. The aroma is vanilla oak and hop. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet vanilla malt and light roast in the finish. Easy to drink hiding alcohol well. Really enjoyed this American strong ale from Southern Tier.

Pours clear deep bronze with a white head that disappears quickly. At first some vinous acidity comes to the nose, but that leaves as the head subsides. Sweet fruity aroma, candy. The flavor is very sweet. Vanilla and raisin. If this were just not so close to being cloying.

Bottle @ Armin’s house. Hazy reddish orange appearance with a small cream colored head. Dark fruity, light plastic, caramel, toffee, oaky aroma. Dark toffee, sugary caramel, light plastic, a bit oaky, toffee, light butterscotch, dark fruity flavor. Pretty strong but way easier to drink than cuvée two to me.

The bomber pours clear amber with copper hues and tiny off white head. The aroma is maple syrup, pine hops, sweet vanilla and oddly mixing with spicy oak. It also has sweet prunes and microwaved fig meat. Whoa! The taste is thick, sweet, gluggy and tumbles across the palate with an oak sweet molasses syrupiness. Behind those notes are maple syrup, oak, some pine hops, spicy oak and vanilla. This is bold and big and nearly brash. I like it.

22 oz. bottle, courtesy of manuchampions (thanks Jon), split 3 ways, pours a hazy dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma of syrup, caramel, candied sugar, oak, and sort of a cough syrupy and medicinal quality. Flavour is cloyingly sweet, with candied apple, caramel, cough syrup and medicinal qualities. Way too cloyingly sweet. Diabetes in a bottle. Gross, really.
