This So-Cal take on a traditional witbier honors Coronado’s main street, which is home to our brewpub and was once lined with orange trees. Bolstered by orange zest, coriander and orange blossom honey, it’s Belgium by way of Coronado. Expect a refreshing, light-bodied brew rife with citrus zing and a hint of earthy spice.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Julio’s Liquors. Aroma is cereal/bready malty base with wheat, orange, yeast. Appearance is hazy orange/yellow with trace sparkle, no head (after soft pour), no lacing. Taste is moderately sweet wheat and orange with spices. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average to lively carbonation, sweet orangey finish. Overall, this is a refreshing brew with some complexity.

Weizenfarben im Glas, kein Schaum. In der Nase vollreife Orangen und deutlich Koriander. Im Trunk kommt fast nur Koriander, sehr markant, im Abgang bitter. Dürfte gern fruchtiger sein.

Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a near clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet wheat with a light orange peel note backing. Flavor has sweet wheat with a bit of orange peel and a slight earthiness.
