This mighty collaboration came about through a mutual admiration and shared ethos; consistently brewing with conviction and innovation. "Sine metu", or "without fear", reads the motto on every Jameson bottle, a creed that resonates with Beavertown’s own ideology, and one that definitely comes into play in the creation of this bold, ballsy, limited edition imperial stout, aged in Jameson whiskey barrels.

The name was inspired by "Ger", the fifth generation master Cooper at the Jameson distillery, a perfect example of passion and pride. ’Ger’onimo!’ is also the unofficial cry of paratroopers, used to express fearlessness or bravery as they leap, as one, to their designated destination. The similar practices of Jameson and Beavertown make for an ideal collaboration; a marriage of craft and flavours.

330ml bottle from Great Grog. Pours like crude oil with a thin tan head. Tight bubbles. Aromas of quality dark chocolate, light booze. Taste is cocoa, whiskey. Surprisingly thin body, but a rich chocolaty finish.

330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with late awakening, small, creamy, fairly lasting, superbly lacing, brown head. Dark malty sublayer prepares the terrain for an aroma full of whisky flavours, leather, liquorice, vanilla, sweetened coffee. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, slightly acerbic leather notes, a touch of vanilla and some chocolate in the background; long lasting, roasty and slightly bitter hoppy finish, slightly sticky palate. Relatively easy drinkable. [By the way: Very nice, ambitious artwork.]

Thank you JefVerstraete! Tasting glass from 330 ml. bottle consumed @ “The Tasting formerly known as Mons RBBAG I (2014)”. Very elaborate packaging & particularly elaborate label. The price tag is also ridiculous apparently. Oily blackish with no head. Nose is syrupy oily thick mocha with warming basic whisky, good amount of it. Taste is warming soy sauce (not unpleasant here), good amount of warming basic but substantial whisky, thick chocolate, cake, dried fruit, very nice thick whisky finish. Very oily, low carbonation, substantial body. Not stellar but very enjoyable with good amount of whisky, price is ridiculously & it is nowhere near that good even if I quite enjoyed it.
