Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Pigs Ear a year or two back. Pours mostly clear reddish copper with a frothy, tan head. Pretty well rounded, has some nice ripe and lightly dried berries, well toasted grains, nips of English yeast, old leaves and earth. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately warming in the finish, with more toasted grains, aged berries, soft leafy bitterness, toasted toffee. A very nice beer overall. Has developed nicely.

Bottle from Ales by Mail. Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel, biscuit, marmalade. Taste is more of the same. Sweet, rich. Not dissimilar to a Fullers vintage ale.
