Brewed by Brouwerij Anders! for Beer52
A unique take on the hugely popular East Coast style which marries a soft, luscious mouthfeel, restrained bitterness and huge hop aromatics. The addition of delicious German Riesling grape juice brings not only its own distinct fruit character to play alongside that of the grain and hops, but also a inimitable vinous note that gives this beer a whole other dimension.

Not good. Thin, watery, lacking any body or flavour at all.

330ml bottle from the Beer52 box for October. A hazy amber pour with a thick cream head; musty grape juice aroma; smooth in the mouth with a light grainy body and the sweet grape juice fighting with the peppery bitterness from the hops; which give some heat to the finish. I set out thinking I wasn't go the enjoy this, but it is strangely likeable.

Bottle into a Chimay chalice at home on 8th Oct 2018. Cloudy light orange body, wispy white head. Tropical fruit esters with a little grape juice if you sniff hard enough. Taste also fruity and again there is a grape like flavour when you dig deep enough. Good, bitterness throughout, almost harsh in places as you sip the beer. Interesting, different and for me pleasant.
