This is an easy going pint with a soft toffee sweetness and dry biscuity background from the Light Caramel malt, Melano and Roasted Barley. The Sorachi Ace Hops give this Irish Red its special character. Sorachi Hops give a unique range of flavours; expect a Spicy, Herbal, & Lemony flavour-aroma.

Bottle at home, köszi Petra! Pours deep copper with a long lasting, white head. Nose is sweet, biscuity malts, some herbal touch. In taste it's bitter upfront, then comes some caramely, biscuity malts and then again herbal bitterness, that lasts quite long. Light bodied with average carbo, easy to drink. Simple yet pleasant red ale, with an interesting twist.

I have a soft spot for Wicklow, but this is underwhelming. Definite sorachi, mild caramel and toffee notes

Cask - Pours a clear red amber colour with a small foamy beige head. Aroma is malty, caramel, roasted grain and fruit. A light riasted malty grainy taste, caramel, ripe fruit flavours with a hint of chocolate. A slightly astringent herbal hop bitterness in the finish.

Bottle from McHughs. Red with a firm frothy head. Aroma of caramel cake. Flavour is sticky, malt and hop, overripe fruit on the finish. A bit messy.
