Cask @ Doncaster Brewery Tap, Doncaster. Black with a creamy off-white head and a mild fruitiness. Has mild roasted malts and is an interesting Black IPA.

Cask HP at Blue Boar, Leicester. It pours black with a medium bubbly beige head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, charred wood, burnt pine, liquorice, peppery spice, rocky road and a tang of citrus. The taste is fairly bitter upfront, dry, charred wood, hard roast, liquorice, umami, peppery spice, coffee grounds, aniseed, citrus peel and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Pretty flavourful. Nice.

cask at Guildford ... dark red black ... thin tan head ... soft deep chocolate roast malt nose ... dark malts ... charcoal ... little dry ... sadly little sour ... but i still like it.
