Western Approaches IPL je světlé spodně kvašené silné pivo typu India Pale Lager. Harmonicky snoubí rysy klasického ležáku i svrchně kvašeného piva typu IPA. Vyrobili jsme ho jako klasický ležák, který jsme okořenili americkými odrůdami chmele použitými i pro chmelení za studena a v cryo úpravě (kromě oblíbeného Cascade jsme nově použili i odrůdu Loral). Výsledkem je krásně pitelné pivo se středním řízem a lehčím tělem, ve kterém nádherně vynikne vyšší hořkost a květinovo-citrusové aroma a zemité tóny.

Can at home picked up from HOTM. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting sticky white froth. Aroma is piney hop, grassy, buttered bread, green hop. Flavour is composed of earthy pils, buttered bread, wet grass, solid. Palate is semi sweet, light resin, highish carbonation. airy. Decent. .

500ml Can - Golden with a foamy white head. Grapefruit, aniseed, grass and some floral notes in the aroma. Floral and moderately bitter taste with grass, aniseed and some herbal and citrussy hints.

pours yellow with a gigantic head. really nice lager aroma, full bodied, crisp malty, faint sawdust, hay and straw (all 3 in a good way). Flavor is dry malty, very faint grass and hay, neutral hops, very flavorful, some of the hopping is grassy/flowery/slightly american ish. refreshing very dry quite bitter strong lager with a lot of flavor.

Canned (from KCM Kivihaka Vaasa). Slightly hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is nectar, some floral, fruity and mild sweet elements. Flavour is nectar, some floral, mild nectary and some toffeeish tones. Sweet fruity and nectary aftertaste.

8-4-7-4-14 Can, two months after canning. Pours yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is herbal hops with grass, spicy notes and soft tropical notes of stone fruits, as well as pilsner malts with cereals and hay. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is herbal hops with grass, citrus and tropical notes of stone fruits, as well as malts with cereals, hay and heather. Dry, hoppy finish.

Barva svetlejsi zlatava. Pena husta, zustava vrstvicka. Vune tropicke ovoce, ananas, slad. Chut sladova, trocha ananasu, dojezd suchy, peprny, citrusy. Telo stredni az lehci. Horkost stredni az vyssi stredni. Spis ovocna ipa nez lezak, hezky pitelne.

On tap at Vinohradsk�, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out grassy hops, light pine, and biscuity malt. Flavour is bright, with grassy hops, light pine, and biscuity malt. Bright, herbal and grassy, with a very clean hop character. Very good.

My rating No. 12000 at RB. 500 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.1%. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of various citrus fruits and tropical fruits. Lagerish mouthfeel - no wonder, as this is a lager. Hoppy flavour, notes of grapefruit with a decent bitterness.
