For our hopping regime we went with Cascade and Nuggets in the boiling addition. Centennials were added every 5 minutes for the last 30 minutes of the boil. We added Crystals into the whirlpool. Dry hopping was done in both the fermentor after primary fermentation and the bright tank. We used a mixture of Chinook, Nuggets, and Sterlings in the fermentors and whole leaf Centennials in the bright tank.

On tap at Macche in Rome. Pours yellow/orange peel color, unfiltered with a white solid foamy head. Nose: background hint (very light) of caramel, speck ham. Mouth: smoked-fried bacon, lemon grass, blast of bitter hops. One of the most peculiar Imperial IPAs I have ever drunk! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a snifter and a tulip several different times and there really isn’t much difference between the two glasses.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden orange to brown color with a gentle half finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds.
The lacing was thin and soapy and just fell right into the beer without any sort of effort to stick to the sides of the glass.
The smell seemed separated as there were times when I could smell some grapefruit like hops and then there were times when I could get sweet malts.
The taste was mainly sweet with a kind indulgent sweetness overcoating my taste buds nicely.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a somewhat decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed okay for the style and for me as it had a good harshness but also had a decent smoothness about it.
Overall, uh, well it fits the style but just doesn’t seem to be a standout. I’d probably only have again if offered.

tap at Dash In - This draft beer smells of citrus and resin hop notes. It is, as expected, very bitter. It’s also crisp, full bodied thanks to a tasty malt backbone, and has a long, bitter finish. Very good.

12oz bottle from I like That, Portsmouth, NH. An amber pour with a thick creamy head; the aroma has resinous, piney hops and some sweetness; in the mouth it’s surprisingly smooth and creamy with tropical fruits, citrus and butterscotch and a deep undercurrent of dry hops; the finish is biscuity and satisfying with a long lingering hoppy bitterness. A very drinkable strong IPA, that shows that there is a place of subtlety and finesse in this style.

Smak och doft av malt, humle, aprikos, honung, karamell och citrus. En aning trött humle men för övrigt en trevlig IPA. Fruktig, välbalanserad med lagom sötma. Trevlig beska.

Bottled:
Pours hazy amber with a large and thick head. Aroma is surprisingly hard to catch, but eventually there’s pine, resin and orange peels. Flavour is not hard to find; a big, hoppy bitterness with notes of tropical fruit, resin and pine needles. Long bitterness. Really good!

Mjuk fin mycket skum. Smakar klassisk fast med extra ton av citrus å grape. Just dessa extra toner gjorde att ölen inte fick top betyg hade behövts mer dova toner. Annars mycket bra Dipa mycket bättre än svenska bryggeriers Dipor.
