For our hopping regime we went with Cascade and Nuggets in the boiling addition. Centennials were added every 5 minutes for the last 30 minutes of the boil. We added Crystals into the whirlpool. Dry hopping was done in both the fermentor after primary fermentation and the bright tank. We used a mixture of Chinook, Nuggets, and Sterlings in the fermentors and whole leaf Centennials in the bright tank.

Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Poured a hazy gold colour with a medium sized off-white head. Decent nose of abundant fruity resinous hops and sweet malt. The flavour followed suit with fairly prominent alcohol. Enjoyable fruit throughout with biggish but nicely balanced hoppage. Sticky, fullish mouthfeel. Dry bitter finish. Solid and tasty fayre.

12 oz. bottle at Sheffield Tap, split with Matts_Property, pours hazy golden yellow. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus and huge hops. Flavour is super pungent hops, grapefruit, citrus, caramel backing, but no where near the compensation for the barrage of hops. Beautifully crafted - a delicious Imperial IPA.

bottle from ølbutikken clear orange, smooth beige head. clean strong hoppy aroma of pine, citrus, grapefruit, and a little sweetened with exotic fruits. solid malty sweet base, dry. flavor is very dry, dry bitter hops, grapefruit, grapefruit peel, malty sweetness, This somehow reminds me of the beer style of the mikkeller single hop series. very soft, very potently hopped, good malty base to balance it off. A quite extreme but also very tasty double ipa.

Bottle at Cask Pub and Kitchen shared with madmitch76, Mes and Leighton. Pours a cloudy amber colour with off-white head. The nose is citrus, pine and honey. The taste is orange, peach, grapefruit, varnished wood, bread, hay, and grass. It has a long bitter finish with a bit of an alcohol burn at the end. I didn’t find this particularly well balanced – the alcohol is too high and it’s all a bit too savoury for me.

Bottle. Lovely citrusy nose with pine cones and a fine, sweetish underlying maltyness. Slightly unclear, golden in color and with a small, white head. Some lacings. The flavor is on the bitter side, citrus and pine cones chiming in, and with a pleasant malty-sweet backdrop. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Lasting bitterness in the end, with citruspeel. Overall, a nice one, maybe a bit too heavy or one-tracked on the bitterness, but still nice. Wouldn’t mind drinking more of it. 110219
