Our friends at Hygge are masters at the art, science, and complexity of coffee roasting, tasting, and extraction. For Mange Tak, we worked in conjunction with them to select a coffee that would perfectly support and complement our base berliner weisse. In the end, we’ve selected a Kenyan Kieni coffee from one of the most respected microroasteries, the danish Coffee Collective. It’s unique acidity pairs well with the chosen beer style, and to enhance it’s intense fruity aroma, we’ve also added copious amount of fresh blueberries and Madagascar vanilla to it. The result is truly greater than the sum of its parts. Show Less

Bottle, tap, from the tank. On the one hand I obviously cant rate it impartially, but on the other hand I feel I can do it so here goes. Burgundy pour, quickly disaipating off-white head. Nose is intense blueberries, a touch of fruity, acidic coffee, lactic sourness, some yoghurt. Taste is tart to sour, showing notes of the coffee, some blueberries, and that yoghurt-y lactic character again. Well balanced taste, no trace of the vanilla tho. Closes with coffee and blueberries and some tartness, has light body and soft to average carbonation.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him and hrabren. Murky pinkish coloured, medium sized off-white head, coffee and some tomatoes in the nose. Coffee, light berries, vegetables and discreet blueberry with dry earthy finish.

0.33 l bottle thanks to Marko who brought it from Prague and shared with Ogi and me. Cloudy pinkish red, minimal head. Aroma is earthy, vegetable, red pepper, ketchup, some spice. Hints of coffee. Hints of vanilla. Fruit not coming out clearly but it is not a bad balance for these weird ingredients. Light to moderate sourness, blueberry appears. Cardboard. Moderate carbonation. Fruity finish. Coffee persistent. Vinous. A strange mixture but a good and an interesting mixture!

Huge thanks Midovark for sharing! Pungent aroma, coffee mixed with cooked cherry tomatoes and mild peppers. The taste is clean, lean, nicely fruity from the blueberries, but with coffee in the finish, juicy, tasty, just the aroma pulls it down slightly. Some bottle issue? Odd. Still not unenjoyable.

Tap at 100 piv. Quite good. Blueberry mixes really well with coffee, providing a kind of cascara-ish feeling. Lightly sour. Thin body, moderate carbonation. Very refreshing, easy drinking. Very good.

Vycap 100 pív. Vôňa čistá káva. Farba na počudovanie tmavšia ružová. Chuť kávová s veľmi jemnou kyslosťou.
