Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is roasted malt with tonka beans, cocoa nibs, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, chocolate syrup. Flavour is sweet with a moderate roasty bitterness. Full body. Tonka and chocolate dominate, tasty dessert.

Bottle from Best of Beers. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and tonka. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 141120

bottle from beerbay pitch black, smooth brown head. arona of roasted malts, vanilla, brown chocolate cake, milder note of raisins, coffee liquer, wood. solid aroma. flavor is roasted malts, cocoa, vanilla, cigar box / tobacco, wood. very intense and very complex, sevral of the flavor notes are to the sweet end, but a nice quite bitter hoppy and woody note is balancing it off, leading to a i need another sip aftertaste.. super clean, no off flavors. intense dessert craziness.

ABV: 10.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark chocolate, tonka, cocoa, vanilla, alcohol, light wood. Flavor is light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, tonka, vanilla, cocoa, wood, roasted, dark chocolate, alcohol. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20200727]

Shared with friends @ Oluf Bagers Gade. Black with a lasting off-white head. Chocolate aroma with spices including vanilla and (now that I know it) tonka beans. Sweetish chocolate flavour with spice.

Bottle @ Christian Joining the fun. With Thomas A and Martin newcomer. Oluf Bagers Gade, Odense. Pours Black with a small creamy head. Cinnamon, vanilla and sugars. Warming alcohol. Spicey.

Aus der Flasche im 2020-04 getrunken. Auch dieses IStout von Nerdbrewing wird durch die kräftigen, schokoladanartigen Röstaromen als Basis bestimmt. Dazu kommt auf dem Punkt deutlich dosiert die Tonka & Vanilla Aromen. Nach Hinten bleiben die Aromen der 80%tigen Schokolade stehen. Das ist klar ein IStout was schon volle Aufmerksamkeit einfordert und nicht einfach so nebenbei getrunken werden sollte. Das ist klar ein Top-IStout!
