Souring beers since 1994, this American sour has already cellared one year in this bottle. Sour blonde citrus funk balanced by aged hops and notes of oak picked up during the barrel aged fermentation.

8/1/2020 - AmLam Share at Jimmy's. Vertical from 2014 - 2017. A bit of must and wood on the nose although seems muted compared to 2014 and 2015 vintages. Softer carbonation and more wood on teh palate. Less depth than the others in the vertical. Rankings: 1) 2015 2) 2017 3) 2015 4) 2016.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden, small fizzy white head, dissipates leaving not much. Immediate strong barnyard and horse blanket aroma, funky and awesome, socks, basements, oak tannins. Flavor is just a touch tart and nicely funky, rich and complex. Medium body, soft carbonation. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of funk with earthy sour light fruits and a bit of a bread backbone. Flavor is also funk forward and quite tart with light sour fruits and a bit of grains and oak underlying.

Half liter bottle from the brewery. 1000th Wisconsin rating! Murky orange, large fizzy white head, good retention. Aroma of pepper, funk, dry lemon. Taste is lemon, funk, pale malt, leather, vinegar, hints of leather. Medium bodied, strong lingering tartness.
