Pours hazy deep gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes leaving scant lacing. Dark, earthy caramel aromas. Sweet with molasses and dark caramel upfront turning to soft, mildly bitter earth in the lasting finish.

0.33 bottle. Traditional label, the beer is beautiful, lighter amber with a creamy solid head. Delicate caramel malt aroma, nothing distracting. Outstanding taste. Full-bodied, yet round, clean. Dried fruit, biscuity, a little sweet, a little raisiny. Fruity finish. A perfect drinking fest bier, reminiscent of light lager beers. On tap, it can be the pleasure of Oktoberfest itself... (P.S.: it was available in SPAR for the past 2 winters, I always gladly bought the small six-packs...)

Hagyományos cimke, a sör szép, vilagosabb borostyán krémszínű tömör habbal. Karamelles finom malátás illat, semmi zavaró nincs benne. Íze kiemelkedő. Testes, mégis kerek, tiszta. Aszalt gyümölcsös, kekszes, kicsit édeskés, kicsit mazsolás. Gyumolcsös lecsengés. Világos bak sörökre emlékeztető, tökéletes ivó fest bier. Csapolva maga lehet az oktoberfest élvezete... (Ui.: az elmúlt 2 télen kapható volt a SPAR-ban, mindig örömmel vettem a kis hatos pakkokat...)

Bottle from a local Grocery Outlet store. Pours clear copper with an off-white head. Mildly roasty malt aroma over hops that seem near, but not exactly, Saaz. Med body. Roasty caramel malt is the main flavor, but there's some grassy hop bitter. Tasty Marzen.

12oz bottle. Dulled amber-orange body. Quite malt forward for the style, perhaps the caramel malt is out of place. So darker than normal, but not that rich, full malt depth you might find in a more premium version. A pleasant enough Fall macro lager, just not that impressive of a Festbier.

Deep copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, pure white head that stays afloat nicely, but fades to just a thin layer over top. Aroma of caramelised sugars, toffee, light biscuity malts, some yeast a dry apple bite towards the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong caramel and toffee notes dominate with a lot of biscuity and herbal malts noticeable with a floral bitterness and a yeastie and bready bite that show the malts and yeast almost more than anything else. Aftertaste shows the dry grain with the biscuity and very bready yeast notes, all finishing with some rustic earthiness, a bit of flowers and more malts than anything else, but some subtle sweetness at the very end from the caramelised sugars. Overall, a relatively simplistic, very malty, earthy and super nutty beer that has a nice balance of sugars and yeast, that is easy-drinking, yet still full of traditional flavours (gotta love Germany!). I sampled this 33 cL bottle, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 05-October-2020 for US$1,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 19-October-2020.
