Keg at the Alexander Graham Bell. Pours clear gold, thin white head. Light orange citrus aromas, light caramel. Taste is light sweet, green bitterness. Bit disappointing to be honest. Not bad, just didn’t live up to my expectations.

Keg at Bankers Draft, JDW. Well I kind of had to try it. Dark gold with a reasonable white head. Aroma of corn, ammonia, caramel. Not wonderful but certainly not as bad as it sounds. Sweet/savoury maltiness in the taste. A bit of corn syrup, vegetable, malt and salted caramel. Not an IPA or APA by any stretch. But pretty good.

On keg at the Standing Order. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - light notes of mango and papaya. Taste - pink grapefruit this time. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yep good beer.

On tap in JDW the Royal Hop Pole Twekesbury. Golden colour with a tight creamy white head. the aroma has citrus hops. The flavour has More citrus hops and tropical fruit. Not as hoppy as I expected from a beer marketed as being brewed in the US but if it’s from Birmingham maybe that’s to be expected.
