Old rating - A 500ml bottle. Second time I've had this after on tap at JDW at Gatwick Victoria station. It's a decent hoppy pale ale more than IPA.

Bottle and I can't recall where purchased. I was hoping for a Marston's West Midlands rating but instead got a new region in Virginia US, happy enough with that! Pours dark gold, small white head, good retention. Aroma of hoppy citrus, earth, grass. Taste is hoppy bitterness from the off with an earthy citrus, a little chewy. Biscuit malts then come to the fore before the bitterness builds for the finish with a grassy note. Very much an American-English IPA hybrid, does it work? Not quite with this one although its fine. It has elements of a watered down Marston's Barley Wine Gold which is neither good nor bad.

Many thanks for this beer to dantomlinson. Pairing with Scampi Flavour Fries from Smith's. Thanks Daniel. Piana fajna srednia i srednio trwala, barwa jasno bursztynowa klarowna, niezbyt intensywny zapach, takiej wystygnietej czarnej herbaty. W smaku gozkawe, malo slodowe, wytrawne, chmiele srenio wyczuwalne, ale za malo tu mocno wyraznych akcentow amerykanskiej IPA

Bottle at Prince Arthur, Fleet. Low key spicey pine aroma. Amber. Fluffy white head. Light bitter. A tad raw. Medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Pretty abrupt finish. Bland.

Aus der Flasche 2015-05 getrunken. Dieses IPA hat eine schöne Frucht, ein angenehme Hopfenbitterkeit und ein kräftigen Körper. Ein schöner Durstlöscher.

Bottle at home from Morrisons. A good pour and drunk alongside a roast chicken dinner with the family. To me this is a good best bitter, with perfect drinkability and a very good malt and bitter hop balance. Despite it being called an APA, but what do I know!
