Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Aroma combines light berries and malts. Opaque dark amber. Thin translucent white head sticks to the rim. Medium sour berries. Grainy edge. Peripheral damp malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Nothing interesting happening here.

Cask at the Greyfriar, Reading. Deep amber with an off-white head. Treacle and cough mixture and autumn leaves and blackcurrant. A bit sweet and cloying, and I don't like the cough mixture. Not great.

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A crystal clear chestnut coloured pour with a lasting off-white head; aroma of hedgerow hops, some fruity, some spicy; taste of lightly toasted grains with some caramel; and a pleasant, dry, bitter finish with some leafy spice. A rather good Best Bitter.
