MBCC. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, maple syrup, lactose and cinnamon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with lots of warming alcohol. Oily. 221021

Bottle from Transient (2020 Apocalypse Vintage). Pours a pitch black with some good viscosity and a finger of brown foam that dissipates. Big corn flake and milk focused nose with cacao nib, maple syrup and vanilla as it warms. Medium to full body on the palate. Lots of frosted flake flavors with coffee, cacao nib and cinnamon dryness. Vanilla lingers on the finish with some coffee and cacao nib bitterness. Not so much cinnamon on this one.

Expectations were too high, it was good, but not the pastry whales we've been murdering. Good for home drinking!
