Witkist Grapefruit White Ale is a modern take on a Belgian-style White Ale with bright aromas of citrus from pureed grapefruit, and a delicate spice from dried orange peel and coriander. Complex yet delicate with a clean, refreshing finish, Witkist brings an unexpected twist on tradition.

12oz can. Random sample. Mild grapefruit - simple but very easy to drink. Liked more than I thought I would.

12oz bottle picked up at Harmons. Pours clear light golden with a small off-white head that dissipates quickly, no lacing. Mild aroma. Grapefruit, orange peel, coriander and lime. Decent.

12oz can. Pretty enjoyable Wit. Grapefruit is there, in a soft artificial way. The coriander and orange peel balance it out well, and it stays true to the style. Pleasantly medium bodied. I'd imagine the base Wit would have been quite nice, but I guess you have to fruit it out to sell these days.

On draught at Wyoming Ale Works.
Pours a hazy straw yellow with a small head of foam.
Smells of coriander, lemon, cloves, yeasty.
The taste is like the smell, somewhat less vibrant? Coriander and clove are dominant, quite yeasty, overall a good Belgian style rendition.
Light body with it getting close to watery at times.
$5 for a pint, I feel my bucks weren't wasted.

12 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 6/17/20. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, fair retention. Aroma of yeast, grapefruit, wheat, spice, coriander. Taste is juicy citrus, wheat, mild spice. Medium bodied, crisp. Solid.

12 oz from the grocery store. Aroma is strong in coriander; also, bready, clove, alcohol. Pours a hazy rusty yellow-orange hue with a quickly collapsing head; no traces of foam whatsoever after a minute. Taste is lightly sweet, savory, lightly tart. Other than a light citrusy character and some very faint bitterness, the grapefruit doesn't really come through in aroma or flavor. Great smelling, good tasting beer that's a little underwhelming due to its appearance and the lack of grapefruit character that I was looking forward to.
