750 ml bottle from the 2019 CC/ Trade with TJ. Born on: 04/26/19. Aroma from the pop of the cap gave waves of apple brandy. Also hits of chocolate. Flavor has a rich chocolate/ roasted base. Apple brandy seems stronger in the aroma. Still apple brandy is really nicely integrated and shows a lot of flavor. Good body and texture. Having to split hairs in a style is a nice first world problem.

Bottle (4/26/19) pour courtesy of Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ. Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, nice viscosity, thin ring of beige head and no lacing. Aroma is strong apple brandy (from over a foot away) over base roasted malts. Taste is strong initial apple brandy quickly overtaken by 2nd half earthy roasted malts and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, velvety texture, soft carbonation and mostly malty finish as taste. Overall, nice, strong flavors but not super complex.

Power tasting at Matt's, bottle
Black colour. Roasted malt aroma, roasted nuts, ripe red apples. Good body, prominent roast, but almost balanced by the sweetness, and the sweetness is counterbalanced by the alcohol; roasted, bitter almonds; bold bitterness; some spirit.
Very good.

Jet black with a small light brown head. Lots of barrel notes and some sweetness. Dark fruit, black currant and long sweet notes. Cocoa and booze on the finish.

750ml (thx, Chris S.!) at Matt's amenity room. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: sweet, nice apples, some roasted malts, 👌. Taste: along the same lines, sweet and roasty, tons of fruity caramel. Overall: very interesting.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is quite boozy, with lots of roasted malt, brandy barrels, and plenty of alcohol. Flavour is extreme, with lots of brandy barrels, loads of caramel, booze, and moderate roast. Intense apple brandy. Wonderful extreme beer.
