WLS040 was inspired by that journey. A classic Czech pilsner inspired in equal parts by the beers we know from Plzen, and the beers we drank on our trip to Prague.
Deep burnished gold in colour with a fluffy white head and soft carbonation. Pronounced woody & floral hop character, with background notes of lemon. Bready malt with a touch of caramel and delicate fruity yeast esters all in evidence. Smooth and rich mouthfeel, balanced with an upfront and present hop bitterness.

Bottle in the evening heat, 10th August 2020. Pours a dark orange beer, caramel. Aroma is caramel, malts, citrus. Taste is full, malts, light caramel, bready, dough and light to medium bitter finish and oily mouth feel. Excellent lager

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from All Good Beer HD. Pours clear orange-honey-gold with a foamy, white head. Nice stuff, with modest sweetness, rich malt character, sun-kissed bread, nips of grains, grass, caramel. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Nice bready malt finish, more subtle caramel, light grassy bitterness, toasted biscuits, hay. Drinks really good.
