Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a lar dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of black chocolate notes with some bourbon notes and vanilla notes with some hazelnut notes also perceptible. Taste is a nice mix of sweet black chocolate notes with some vanilla notes and hazelnut notes with some bourbon notes also noticeable. Body is full with oily like texture and good carbonation. Solid pastry stout with good balance of the different flavours.

Power tasting at Phill's
Pitch black colour, viscous, no head. It smells like a quality nutella, fresh hazelnuts and chocolate. Thick mouthfeel, very rich chocolate flavour, sweet, and prominent hazelnut, quite true hazelnut even, vanilla cream, and nice alcohol warmth; a touch of tobacco.
Wonderful.

Jet black with no head. Really nice hazelnut with just a touch of barrel. Chocolate and hazelnut with a really nice long finish. Super well balanced and very nice.

Dark and a bit flat. There's quite a bit of hazelnut and fairly rich dark sugars, molasses. Thick body, lots of hazelnuts, rich sugars, a bit of wood accent. Very good, lots of nice bourbon and rich nuts.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Nose is full of truckloads of hazelnuts upfront, with subdued bourbon barrels and a little vanilla. Flavour dominates with a wonderfully intense hazelnut character upfront, followed by robust bourbon barrels, and accentuated by a hint of vanilla. Moderately roasty, finishing nutty and rather dry. The alcohol is felt, but it's well-situated. Excellent.
