Bottle at home. Aroma of malt, smoke, wheat. Flavour is slightly sourish with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Body is light. Does not have much depth, but this is an easily drinkable smoked wheat ale.

Bottle. Dark amber color. Caramel, beechwood and pear in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, wheaty with plums. Subtle beechwood. Phenolic. Would like to see more ancient German beers revived.

330ml bottle, from trade with monstermagnet. Many thanks! Pours hazy deep brown, medium off-white head. Aroma presents good smoky bacon, taste follows with a little smoked meat.. a little overly carbed, but still an enjoyable malty smoked beer.

33 cl bottle from De Prael shop @ home, labelled as 4.2%. Dark brown color. Firm tan head, rocky and uneven, with pretty good retention. Aroma’s: smoky, leather, with some red fruit and light hopbitterness retronasal. Flavor is light bitter, smoked, light sour? Light bodied, not too thin. Finishes somewhat dry, moderate bitter. Not entirely balanced, but quite nice anyway.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Smokin Mokum on 18 May 2018 at 09:31 - Score: 7
