This beer is blended to bring out the very best of traditional British malt and hop flavours. The raised malt profile unlocks notes of roasted caramel, which mingle with classic hop aromas.

Cask, 25/06/17. Golden copper with a well appointed egg shell white head. Nose is caramel, light fruit esters, straw, hint of brown sugar. Taste comprises toffee, brown bread, caramel, airy malts, grains, nutty, toasted brown sugar. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with balanced bitterness. Decent bitter.

Cask at Reading Beer Festival. Light amber with a thin white head. Light lemon, floral notes and some caramel. I wanted a standard bitter to give my palatte a break from the heavier beers at the festival, and a standard bitter was what I got here.

Cask at the New Leathern Bottle, Warfield. A slightly hazy pale amber pour with a ring of white head; biscuity malt aroma; sweet biscuity body and a light floral bitterness; giving a gentle grassy finish. A pleasant, summery, traditional bitter.
