500ml bottle; BB 25th Jun 19. Brought home from Germany by me and drank at home on 20th Sep 2018. I do not own a specialist 'Bock' glass, so I poured it into my HB Munchner Kindl Weissbier glass. Lovely clean brown body, huge beige blanket of foaming bubbles on top. Malts all the way here, roasted aroma and taste, toffee and nutty, woody and caramel flavours abound. Sweet, yet with a singed dryness, almost smoky feel alongside a bitterness mid-sip, which leads to a dry aftertaste. One of the best (and slightly unusual) Dunkel Bocks I have tasted so far.

50cl bottle from koelschtrinker, thanks! Pours clear orange brown colour with a mid-sized to small off-white head. Aroma of dark mild roasted malt, red fruits. Taste of mild roasted malt, sweet malt, caramel, okay!

Bottle from Kaufland, Magdeburg. Clear dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and bread. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 020915

Bottle. Clear brown with a large frothy head. Aroma is fresh hop. Flavour is warming malt with a sharp dark chocolate base. Finish is dry chocolate.
