Sampled on draft this beer poured a red-brown color with a large foamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, caramel and a light mix of golden and dark fruits. The flavor was bitter and buttery with caramel, dark fruits and some astringency. Long finish. Medium body. ok.

Crystal clear amber colour with a super thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel, nice bright hops, malt and some raisins-nice! Light-bodied; Sharp hop flavour up front with subtle malt and a light sweetness of caramel. Really, nothing in the aftertaste but a little cardboard maltiness. Overall, not the worst-but exactly what you’d expect from an amber! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 28-August-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Tasted at Phillips in Baltimore october '02. Red amber, no head. Pretty neutral and boring taste.
