Croy Dubbel is een donker speciaalbierCroy Dubbel van hoge gisting. De dieprode kleur wordt verkregen door de mout langer te branden. Er vindt nagisting plaats door het bier in ‘de Warmekamer’ op een temperatuur van 25 graden te brengen. Croy Dubbel is zachtzoet en fruitig van smaak.

Between 2004 and 2007 brewed by Van Steenberge.

Bottled. Coppery brown colour with a creamy mediumsized beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is sugary, some red berries, mild cherries, biscuity and bready malts along with toffee. Flavour is spicy, burnt sugary with some berries and quite sweet malts. Mild alcohol too.

Grapes aroma. Malty, almost buttery flavor with peach and grapes. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel. Hints of licorice and a slight tartness. Just a bit sugary.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Marinka. Hazy brown with an off-white head. Sweet malt and caramel aroma. Sweet taste with a astringent finish. Almost reminding of a Flanders red-brown ale.

Glaasje van de tap gedronken bij de brouwerij. Robijnrood helder bier met matig schuim. Aroma van rood fruit (kriek) en zoethout. Smaak is fruitig en zoet. Nasmaak ebt snel weg.

Bottle at home. Clear mahogany with beige head. Looks quite nice. Brown sugar, bubblegum, dried raspberries, sweet malts, strawberry candy, cherry soda, light bread. Quite sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied, the carbonation is on the fizzy side. Not really a good dubbel.

Fles gedeeld met Koen. Het is een lekkere dubbel, met veel schuim. Je ruikt het bier niet goed. Maar het smaakt erg lekker. Beetje kruidig.

Clear deep ruby brown colour, two fingers of frothy beige head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Fortified wine-like aroma, roasted dark malts, dark fruit (cherry, black currant), caramel, candy sugar, cinnamon, alcohol. Taste medium to light heavy sweet and light bitter, fruity notes, roasted malts, caramel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste mild sweet, slightly bitter, caramel, spicy notes, nice Dubbel.

33cl bottle from Voorburgse Bier Winkel. Thick white head. Clear amber pour. A nice enough dubbel.
