Vintage bottle@Spinnakers, thanks to the brewer for getting all the gems out! Very light cherry aroma. Red amber, low head. Light minerally cherry notes. Light tart. Not as interesting as the razz I thought.

Light red-tinged brown. Rich cherry nose with brown sugary malts. I never had it fresh, but after a year in the bottle this is very well-balanced. It’s the least fruit-forward of the three, with a great dark malt character (yes, it’s based on a tripel but a year in the bottle brings out an almost muscovado-like caramelized note). Overtop of this sits the candyish, fruity cherry. Mmm.
