Draft at zum schneider, I believe it was billed as a winter lager. Very good, poured a clear gold and all the rest. A regular lager but pretty good.

Pours a hazed over golden brew. Smell is sweet and grainy with a grass scent and biscuit aroma. Later on a scent I can only describe as play dough comes up. Taste is sweet burnt sugar and fruity grain with a bitter hop flavor. Mouthfeel is OK.

Bottle. Deep golden, light carbonation, big eggshell head. Spicy malt aroma - spekutalius-like, allspice, a hint cinnamon, actually christmassy, light estery notes, good grassy anfd herbal hop counterpoint with piney staying power. Chewy body, solid mouthfeel. Acrually one of the better german winterbeers of this type.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, fully golden beer with a rather small head. Full-bodied and aromatic with some underlying sweetness and a rather subdued bitterness. A nice, strong lager. 080402
