(bottle) Dark brown colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Strong malt-accented aroma with toasty notes, fruit confit with berries and banana, shades of chocolate and a whiff of ashes. Moderately sweet flavour this light touch of bitterness, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Rich and deep malt-character with complex fruity flavours, getting slightly vinous, also hints of chocolate, lingering into the lasting delicately vinous fruity and slightly tart finish. Good. 22.XII.14

Bottle(courtesy of Jonas!!!): Deep amber coloured, creamy yellowish to tanned head, hazy; sweet toasty-caramelly and fruity-wheaty nose, dried fruits detectable; moderate sweet-sourish and slightly bitter flavour, relatively light bodied and also a bit tart; sweetish caramelly and vinous finish with well hidden alcohol. Really good…

Muddy light brown with no head - how unlike Paulaner. Aroma is big and fruity, plummy in particular. Sweet with caramelized, raisiny character, sweet bubblegum, and a touch of alcohol late. A little underdeveloped. I guess not my type of weizenbock.

Bottle. Fairly bready, rye, roast, toast, light smoke aroma. Dark chestnut brown, low head. Solid malt base, spans from minerally dry, over roast, to fatty chewy rye bread, smoke,Weizenbock yeast fruityness in the back, hop aromatics in the finish. Honeyish and smoky notes retronasal. Fullbodied, chewy, mellow mouthfeel. Surprisingly drinkable for such a hefty brew.
