500ml bottle from my local Morrison’s Supermarket and drank at home during an English tasting session with myself on 31st Dec 2015. Poured into a UK pint sleeve it looked fine, a decent amber/copper coloured beer with a creamy head in colour and texture. Malts lead the way with a definite caramel and toffee feel to the nose and taste, not overly sweet though, nicely balanced with the malt content shading the hops. Also had a hand pulled half pint at the Punchbowl,York on 20th May 2026.

Cask recommended by Joe at the Cornerstone Cafe Bar, St Peter Port, Guernsey, once I had exhausted all local options. Hazy deep amber color. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel. Taste has a decent helping of smoke, burnt caramel. Very tasty.

50cl bottle from Marks & Spencer, Camberley. Bright amber with a loose cream head; spicy toffee aroma; big caramel taste with some fresh leafy hops; and a long herbal bitterness; and lingering spicy caramel. A surprising full bodied bitter for the ABV, and Yorkshire through and through.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol March 2015. Deep copper in colour, with an off-white head. Cereal malts, a touch of caramel and berry fruit sweetness, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

A fine amber color with a off white head. Ok lacing. Good looking. Bready, citric hoppy and a bit fruity. Medium body and a fine balance between sweetness and fresh rich bitterness. Average carbonation. Bready, citric and pleasant fruity flavor. One of the best 3,5 beers I have had. Lovely fresh and tasty stuff.
