500ml bottle from Booths. Pours clear copper, thick, rocky white head. Aromas of vanilla, caramel, dried orange peel. Taste has a light, almost spicy bitterness, and a mellow dark sugar sweet. But thin, but decent finish. Good.

Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, 10/10/13. This rating shouldn’t have happened - should have been sarf of da river drinking Croydonian dark at this point !!! Clear copper with a thin off white head. Nose is bready malts, biscuit, fruit tang, light toffee. Taste comprises toffee, dark fruit, subtle hops, light grassy notes, strong tea bag tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, bitter notes in the finish. Decent enough bitter.

0.5l bottle. A clear, crystal clear actually deep dark golden, almost wood brown with a nice medium sized lasting and lacing bubbly off-white head. Smells of light thin caramel, it has some nice light fruity elements of apples and a nice malty sweetness with a hint of earthy hops. It's absolutely not bad tasting this. Light and not to impressive on the mouthfeel, and the carbonation level is nicely prickling and average. Good earthy bitterness, a little bit of birch bitterness also with hints of darker malts, something a little burned perhaps and a lasting aftertaste. Not to exciting, but surprisingly tasty for such a lightweighter. 26.06.2013

500ml bottle from Beer Hawk - A very pretty looking beer, deep amber, thick white head. Goes down hill from there, very bland aroma, a bit of caramel there but little else. Taste is too bitter, unpleasantly so. Too thin as well. I’ve had so much better from this brewery.

Golden ale with a small head. Not a huge amount of flavour, more of a textured ale and is smooth but with a thinner body. Goes down the palate well. Slightest of hoppy aroma.
