Rich and smooth with tea, herbal and toffee notes. The oats round out and extend the taste. Lots going on for a 4.1. Smooth, sweet and long-lasting.

Handpumped at the brewery, somewhat above cellar temperature. Mellow mouthfeel. Hazy Amber, off-white porous cream. Toffee malt, leafy and Earthy hops, some Ribes, lightly tart and bitter.

At the source on cask: pours clear copper with a white cask head. Aroma is nice caramel malt and tea and nuts. Taste is lightly bitter, nutty, a bit sweet. A little creamy.

Cask at Bluejacket. Poured a clear light copper color with a tinge of brown to it. Small foamy white head. Aroma was light fruity malts, toffee, nutty chocolate character. Flavor was similar, nutty, with some very light milk chocolate. Really tasty. Smooth.
