Imperial Stout aged on Coffee and Maple Syrup

After many iterations of our favorite adjunct combo over the years, we’re happy to release our first batch of Lumberjack Style, aged on Vermont maple syrup and a custom blend of coffee from our friends over at Mostra Coffee. Lumberjack is an enhanced version of our first ever homebrewed stout, a beer that has evolved over the years with our palate to become a beer we are proud to share today. Brewed with heavy amounts of wheat and specialty malt, Lumberjack provides a soft and balanced experience, reminding you of your favorite breakfast combination.

Productive Thanksgiving Day so far. About a two hour workout this morning, followed by about 45mins of leaves taken care of.

Get a big black coffee flavor at first, but leads to a sweet maple finish to compliment the bitterness.

Fat på Brewskival 2022, fre. Batch 2? Svart med mörkbrun krona. Stor fyllig kropp, mycket hetta, kaffe, kryddigt, lite kanel, lönnsirap. Fint rostade och brända toner mot sötman. Gott.

Draught @ Brewskival 2022, Helsingborg, Sweden. Sweet, sticky and sugary syrupy with loads of maple syrup, coffee beans, earthiness and roastiness. Too sweet.

Brewery draught, 5/19/22. Dark ebony. Dark, rust-tinged, tan head shoes low retention. Crusty, old, but aromatic and not bitter coffee roast with dates, fudge, milk chocolate and light, not hot alcohol. Lotta sugar .... Sweet, of course, in flavor. Fudge, brown sugar, light acidity from the roast, crunchy, dry-roasted peanuts and strong cherry-vanilla with intense demerara. Alcohol concealed underneath all this sugar. Well, on the plus side, the barrel aged versions of this I came to pick up here should be (hopefully) much drier.

Well okay, it is good beer but on the other hand I am so tired of these very sweet imperial stouts. I could get into the finer points of this beer but the sweetness just smashes everything down.

Can. Pours an oily black with an earthy dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has maple and coffee up front with bitter dark grains and roast backing. Flavor has coffee and dark grains up front with a bit of roast and growing maple notes.
