Tap at The Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki, Greece, as Thursday's. Pours amber red, with very fine whitish foam. Aroma is malty and caramel, even a little toffee. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium bitter, with some malty sweetness in the back. Final is average.

Bottle as Septem Thursday Premium Red Ale. Clear red-amber, medium frothy white head. Sweet nose, syrupy berry upfront. Medium bitterness, herbal and grassy. Some medium berry sweetness. Herbal aftertaste, medium and quite lasting. Not bad.

It is bitter, but it is smelling like a homebrew yeast slurry. 7 months before expiry. A complete massive gushing bottle, inacceptable. Hopcult Dresden

As Septem Red Ale, bottle brought back from a Cretan supermarket. Pours clear red/amber with a thin, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of red apple, brioche, dried banana, raisin, caramel, green tea. Taste is light malty sweet, red apple & pear resting on caramel & brioche; herbal & nutty bitterness, faintly metallic, leading to a dry, herbal hoppy finish, more red apple (peel). Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Sympathetic little beer.

Bottle bought online from Maltby and Greek, light reddish brown, clear with a medium to large tight off-white head. Malty aroma with strawberries, leaf tea, dried grass, bubblegum and a light resinous note. Sweet taste with a slightly more bitter finish. Flavourful and a touch spicy with slight hints of sugary yeast and cinnamon. Altogether a good beer.
