Can. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is ripe tropical fruits, some floral and mild toffee tones. Flavour is fruity, some nectary, mild toffeeish and some herbal tones. Refreshing and easy going.

New-ish "lazy" session IPA by Atrium in Marche-en-Famenne, hopped with three trusted classics among New World hop varieties: Ekuanot, Simcoe and Amarillo. Very thick and frothy, yellowish egg-white, coarse and fairly large-bubbled but stable, cobweb-lacing head on a cloudy (even opaque) deep peach blonde robe with beige tinge. Expressively hoppy aroma of toasted onion, old lemon zest, kumquat, grapefruit peel, dusty 'herbes de Provençe', dried tarragon, pine resin, herb cheese, white bread crust, lime juice, hints of wet brown paper, sawdust, mango but quite in the background here, diesel, minerals. Crisp, spritzy onset, quite strongly stinging carbonation, very minerally, 'clean' hoppy fruitiness early on (unripe mango, green banana, touch lime), supple and soft bready malt core soaked in zesty and herbal hoppiness, expressive in a 'fresh kitchen herb' and citrus pith way with a clear oniony and even piney side, almost 'old school' and West Coast-like - an impression reinforced by a relatively long, spicy, resinous hop bitterness lingering on the root of the tongue. There is a vague cheesy undertone as well, which, combined with that beige tinge in colour, seems to betray a streak of oxidation, but I cannot be bothered: this is a pleasantly bitter, herbal, citrusy and oniony old-fashioned interpretation of ISA and I love it. I could easily chug down a dozen or more of these on a benign spring afternoon and still not be bored.

25/II/21 - 33cl can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ home, BB: VIII/2021, L028/20 (2021-159)
Pretty cloudy orange blond beer, big aery irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, lots of grapefruit, citrus, orange peel, CO2, some tropical fruits, mango. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: slightly sweet malts, hint of caramel, citrus notes, little oxidized, fruity, some pineapple, grassy, bitter grapefruit. Aftertaste: bitter finish, medicinal almost, grapefruit, citrus, good stuff!

33cl can, BB 09/2021.

Can 330ml (Beergium)
Murky yellow colour, small white head. Overriped tropical fruits in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Citrus dominates the fruity flavour, some apricot and pine. Nice one for its ABV.

Fluffy, whipped eggwhite-like head over heavily bubbled, fully hazy orange beer. Citrus, exotic fruti, lupulin, bit of asafoetida, ever so faintly cheesy, bitter orange. Again citrus, orange/grapefruit, kumquat. Bitter with non-sweet fruity notes. Apt light body, if still pretty slick. Reasonably long-lasting flavours, especially in this type of beer which often falls flat once the main taste done. Nice, light but quite tasty SIPA.
