5 August 2023. At Uncle Babe's, Ghent. Cheers to Maarten!
Hazy red, thin, pink head. Aroma of cherry juice & skin, jam, brambleberry, vanilla, wood, yoghurt. Taste has sour cherry juice, bitterish cherry skin & stone; bit herbal, funky, lactic and yoghurty too. Tart cherry juice in the finish with soft woody tannins. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Deceptively simple, but so elegant.

Cask (had As Cuvee Moeder Lambic Kriek)@Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Ruby colour with a small pink head. Aroma is cherries, some fruitiness, wood and mild herbal tones. Flavour is cherries, some candy sugar, mild fruitiness with a slight tartness to it. Not that sour and not that acidic, so actually easy drinking and good thirst quencher.

On tap at Moeder. Garnet pour with a pink head. Sour cherry and funk bouquet. Loads of sour cherries with wet grass, lemon zest, and vinegar backbeats. Hints of oak. Good body and mouthfeel.

Tap @Kufle i Kapsle in Warsaw-Poland. Ruby hazy pour with a minimal pink lacing. Nose: tons of cherries and red wild fruit over an herbal tart, lactose, rosemary, thyme. Mouth: lemony start, juicy cherry jam with a peppery finish.

From cask at Moeder Lambic Original, Brussels, with JFE 05.10.19. Cloudy red. Persistent pint head and lacing. Superb aroma and taste of cherries, lactic acid, marzipan and and cherries again. Good and dry. And complex.

From cask at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Pinky red with a big frothy pink head made of small bubbles. Aroma is naturaly massive cherry with lambic sourness. Extremely fruity taste, beautiful and the sourness really hits the back of the tongue. Lovely lingering cherry aftertaste. Without a doubt, a classic! --- Beer merged from original tick of Kriekenlambik on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.
